Installation

Installation Instructions:

Door sill protection

Rear bumper ledge protection

Door handle recess protection:

All protective films are designed for painted or stained surfaces, but they are suitable for smooth plastic, glass or metal surfaces as well.

– The temperature of the vehicle and the installation space must be between 20°C and 25°C during installation. If necessary, the surface can be heated with a blow dryer, for example.
– Wash your hands and keep them clean during installation.
– The car must not be hand or machine washed for 48 hours after installation.
– Use a generous amount of cleaning solution to clean the area that the protection film will be applied to.
– Measure the exact application area beforehand.

1) Vinyl and transparent plastic:
– Car surface must be clean of dirt and grease.

– Prepare for the cleaning and installation by mixing the cleaning solution that was provided with the package with the correct amount of water (1 bottle of cleaning solution for 500ml water).

– Clean the surface of any dirt or grease with the provided cleaning solution.
– Spray the area of the vehicle that the protection film will be applied to with the solution (recommendation). It is also possible to install the film on a dry surface.
– Peel off the protective paper.

– Place the film over the area and position it precisely. Press the film on the vehicle surface by rubbing it gently and make sure to squeeze all water and air out. Use the scraper that came with the product.

Recomendation:

If an air bubble is left under the film after installation, make a little hole with a needle and use the scraper to smooth out the surface.

2) Carbon:
The vehicle surface must be dry and clean of any dirt or grease. Installation on dry surfaces only.

We recommend using an IPA 70-99 % (isopropanol) cleaning solution. It is a strong cleaning solution that will remove any dirt, oil or grease from the cars paint or glass surfaces, circuit boards, magnetic heads as well as the fine mechanics or optics parts, leaving the surface perfectly clean. A 70-96% alcohol spirit can also be used for cleaning the surface. It will remove wax and other protective coatings.

– Place the film over the area and position it precisely.

– Peel off the protective paper. Begin from the top.

– Smooth it out and make sure to remove any air bubbles from under the film. Use the scraper that came with the product.

Recommendation:

If an air bubble is left under the film after installation, make a little hole with a needle and use the scraper to smooth out the surface. You can also use a hot air blower (e.g. hair dryer) to shrink the bubble. The surface will be perfectly intact.

After the installation, use a hair dryer to warm up the film.

Please note! Do not use any stronger heaters and do not heat the product for a long time!

Do not use any other glue under any circumstances.

Maintenance: For maintenance, you can use products such as Turtle Wax, Kumi & Muovi (kiiltävä) or a similar product (Korrek, Autoglym, etc.). It can be used to restore the original color, protect the surface, and freshen up and shine up the car’s plastic, rubber and vinyl parts.
Suitable for carbon as well.

Removing the products:

Easy to remove if necessary, does not harm the vehicle paint!
The best way to remove the product: hold the edge and pull slowly (we recommend heating the film first with a hair dryer, for example). The remaining glue and other marks can be removed by rubbing them with alcohol.

The products remain usable in their package for 12 months.
